About University of Montana GC

The nine-hole University of Montana Golf Course in a way is one of the oldest in the state of Montana. The land it sits on was developed in 1916 by the Missoula Country Club who golfed on it for nine years before acquiring a new spot in the northwestern part of town. In 1928, after two years of being referred to as the Garden City Community Course, alumni of the University of Montana decided to purchase the course with the intention of promoting a friendly relationship between the University and the community of Missoula.

Just a mile south of campus, the University of Montana Golf Course continues its tradition as a bridge between the campus and the community, providing a friendly and fun atmosphere for nearly one hundred years. A walkable nine-hole course, golfers notice tree-lined fairways and plenty of wildlife roaming around to go along with friendly customer service.
