The Lake Hills Golf Course in northeast Billings opened for play in August of 1957. Due to public demand the course opened about a month earlier than planned, allowing eager Billings golfers a chance to play the front nine before the back nine was finished being constructed. George Schneiter – a former PGA Tournament Bureau Manager – designed the course.
At Lake Hills golfers can expect to see antelope roaming around the gently rolling hills, or waterfowl swimming around the ponds. Golfers can also expect a course of championship caliber, one that has been a staple in the Montana golf scene since it opened in the late 1950s.
