About Cottonwood CC

In 1984 a tract of the Alberda Angus Ranch was leased out to Bob Quick, who was a postal employee with a vision to build a golf course. Bob created the design of the course, and with his brother Harley oversaw the entire construction project, doing much of the work themselves. The Cottonwood Hills Golf Course had nine holes ready to play by the fall of 1985, and over the years eventually expanded into 27 holes, a combination of an 18-hole championship course, with an executive par-3 nine-hole course.

Known as one of the best conditioned courses in the state of Montana, Cottonwood Hills is a family-owned business with a little bit of something for golfers of all skill levels. With the Bridger Mountain Range looming on the horizon, the course is yet another picturesque location within the Gallatin Valley.

Since Cottonwood Hills opened forty years ago it has served as one of the most popular public courses in Montana. The course also hosts a variety of events including the Gallatin Valley Open, High School State tournaments, and an occasional MSGA sponsored tournament.
