Construction of the Cabinet View Golf Club began in 1956, converting an abandoned homestead into a nine-hole course. With equipment donated by J. Neils Lumber Company, many volunteers offered their time and effort not only to take down the buildings of the previous homestead, but also in the push to build a quality golf destination in northwest Montana. In 2008 a back nine was added and since that time Cabinet View has been known as one of the premier golf destinations in all of Montana.
With views of the Cabinet Mountains, the course is aptly named as the scenery is breathtaking, and the wildlife is numerous. Along with the scenery the course is well-manicured with a unique difference in styles of play between the front nine and back nine. Some say Cabinet View has the best kept greens in Northwest Montana. It’s a course that all Montana golfers should try to get to at least once, and in Northwest Montana where quality golf courses are as abundant as the wildlife, Cabinet View stands out as one of the best.
